An uncollateralized loan with zero counterparty risk and zero duration. Used to facilitate arbitrage or to refinance a loan without pledging collateral. Has no counterparty risk because in a single transaction (a) the loan is cleared, (b) all buying and selling using the loan funding is completed, and (c) the loan is paid in full.
